I persuaded the tech to check out the output muting transistors after finding a forum post from a guy who had a similar issue with an 01/W, and sure enough, swapping out those FETs solved the problem.Artikelstandort: Nagoya-shi,Aichi, default, JP, I had to be tenacious with my service center (Sound West in Tacoma, WA) to get them to check this out-thanks to an old Dan Phillips post about digital clipping in WS synths, they thought the output clipping was a programming error. Incidentally, a Wavestation-related PSA: if you find that the output of your Wavestation is breaking up/clipping/distorting regardless of patch or volume level, have your tech take a look at the output muting FETs. I ordered a pack of CR2032 batteries from Amazon, so I'll hopefully be back up and running by the end of the week. Imagine my excitement when I fired up my freshly repaired synth and found that ROM, RAM1 and RAM2 all had the same patches!
